Average 20-30 students per class.
Maximum 60 students in lectures and maximum 15 in tutorials.

Total number of students is 400 comprised of 20 to 30 % domestic students and 70 - 80% international.

85 percent as at July 2005.

Entry Requirements?
English
- IELTS 5.5 for standard entry Foundation Studies and Diploma of Business Administration.
- IELTS 5.5 for accelerated entry Foundation Studies and Diploma of Business Administration
- IELTS 6.0 for Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of International Business with a minimum of 6 in each band

What deposit is needed before a COE is issued?
The deposit is equal to the tuition fee for a semester of study.
How much is the deposit for a combined diploma and degree?
In this case, The deposit is equal to the tuition fee for a semester of study of the Diploma plus AUD 1000.
Can I get exemptions if I already have a post-secondary qualification?
- Credit is available for students who have studied an approved course in the last five years
- Up to 4 subjects is given for VET Diplomas
- Up to 8 subjects is given for VET Advanced Diplomas
- A maximum of 16 subjects can be given for relevant tertiary studies
- Most credit is assessed on a case-by-case basis
What is the provision for pre-course English?
- Students who finished the Certificate III at ACL can enter directly to Standard Foundation Studies or Diploma of Business Administration.
- Students who finished the Certificate IV at ACL can enter directly to Accelerated Foundation Studies or Diploma of Business Administration.
- Students who finished Diploma with overall pass 55% at ACL can enter directly to Undergraduate programs
Are fees different for Australian students?
Yes. The fees for Australian students and International Students are different.
Can students enrol in individual subjects (eg. one subject only)?
If you are full time student at another institute in Sydney, you can enrol for one subject only.
Can Australian students study the Certificate IV at La Trobe University Programs in Sydney?
Australian students can study Foudnation Studies. We do not offer Certificate courses.

We have a comprehensive orientation at the commencement of each semester.
The Academic Skills Unit offers counseling both academic and welfare.
Our regular monitoring of all students' academic progress means we identify weak students before they fall behind.
To help students, we have a wide range of free services available, including:
- Counseling ( academic and personal)
- Study skills classes
- Stress management courses
We offer a range of social and tourist activities such as tennis, golf, after exam party, outlet shopping tour etc .
What happens if a student fails a subject at Diploma level?
Students must repeat that subject

What are the USPs of the partner university? University program structures?
Students who finish La Trobe Foundation Program with an overall average score of 65% can enter directly the La Trobe University Bachelor Degree Program in Sydney.
Students who finishe La Trobe Diploma with an overall average score of 50% can progress to the second year of La Trobe University bachelor program in Sydney.

LIVING IN AUSTRALIA
What type of accommodation does La Trobe University Programs In Sydney (ACN) offer? How much? Who can assist with finding / booking accommodation? Is airport reception available? How much?
We can arrange a variety of accommodation options for our students when they first arrive, including homestay, international lodge, apartments and hotels. Homestay Placement fee is $190. Homestay fee is $230 per week.
We can arrange airport pickup on arrival in Sydney.($ 110)
This is arranged in-house.
Do students have work rights?
Students are allowed to work 20 hours a week during semesters. During semester breaks students are permitted to work 40 hours a week.
What assistance is provided?
Academic Service Unit provides a wide range of free services including Counselling ( academic and personal), Study skills classes, stress management courses.
The Internship Program provides students with a structured voluntary unpaid employment opportunity in a meaningful position either during or immediately after studying.
Job Ready Program provides students access to skills assessment and development tools that are in demand by today’s employers.
Workit is designed to help students find a temporary casual job.
