Do I need an English course? Whether you will need further English preparation depends on: - Your IELTS score now
- The IELTS you need for entry to foundation, diploma or bachelor programs.
If you need to study more English, the table below gives you an idea of how long you might need to study to reach the English requirement for your course. We use this table to estimate the number of weeks you’ll need in an English program, which is stated in our offer letter. This is only a forecast. You will also sit a placement test on arrival in Australia and this will select your entry level. Each level is conducted over a 10 week period of time and you must pass 50% in order to move up to the next level. To enter the degree program at ACN, students need a 55% pass in the Diploma of English for Academic Purposes. |

Package your study If you package your English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course at ACE or ACL with an academic program at ACN then: - You will not have to sit another IELTS test for entry to the ACN’s foundation, diploma or degree programs as we have direct entry arrangements.
- Your visa can be packaged for the entire duration of study with both providers.
- You may still be required to sit for IELTS tests for visa purposes.
