This program is an excellent starting point for an exciting career in technology. You may also choose to continue your studies with guaranteed direct entry into the second year of the Bachelor of Information Technology.

• The Diploma is awarded by La Trobe University and has two entry points.
• Direct entry to Diploma for students satisfying academic and English entry requirements. 
• Provisional Admission Pathway for those with IELTS of 5.5 (minimum 5.0 in writing) and satisfying the academic entry requirements. 
• A stand-alone qualification or a pathway into the La Trobe University Bachelor of IT program. 
• This course produces computing professionals who understand both the technical and business factors relevant to modern organisations. 
• Upon satisfactory completion of the Diploma, you are able to progress into the bachelor programs offered at ACN with up to eight units of advanced standing.
• Extra tutorial time is provided for university equivalent subjects. Instead of a 2-hour lecture and 1-hour tutorial, Diploma students receive a 2-hour lecture and a 3-hour tutorial to assist in developing the skills required to study successfully at university level.
