- On top of your tuition fees you should budget between AU$13,000 and AU$16,000 a year to cover living costs whilst studying.
- You need to budget for accommodation/weekly rental, food, transport, books, clothing, health services and entertainment. Of course, your weekly expenses will vary depending on your lifestyle and entertainment choices.
- Don’t forget to budget for major set-up expenses such as rental bond (4 x weekly rent) television, stereo or computer.
- If you decide to buy a car you’ll need to budget for car insurance and registration (approximately AUD$1000 per year). A new small car costs at least A$14,000 and a reliable second hand vehicle costs between A$4000 - A$8,000.
