Why did you choose ACN and La Trobe University?
I choose ACN because of their options and benefits they offered for me. Three main factors for me was the location, their fast track degree and small classes. ACN is located in the heart of Sydney CBD, which makes it convenient and easy to get to. Their fast track option has allowed me to complete my degree in just 2 years, instead of the standard three years. ACN offers small classes that reach up to maximum 60 students per lecture, which allowed me focus more in class and interact with other students and the lecturers.
How did you find your experience at the ACN Campus? What were the highlights?
The experience at ACN was great. Due to the focused environment around the campus, all students and staff know each other by name. Building relationships with the staff and other students was easy and enhanced the social life of the ACN community. Some highlights have been going out to pubs, clubs and bars and sporting activities such as organizing soccer and volleyball games.
What are you doing now? And any achievements that you would like to share?
In the last semester of my degree ACN offered me a marketing internship, in which I am still currently doing. As I majored in marketing, the marketing internship has gave me first hand experience in the marketing field in a business environment, which will definitely help me later in my career.
In my first year of study I received a full year scholarship from ACN and was given the role as a student ambassador. The scholarship required me to represent ACN at important events and act a role model for current students
How has your study at ACN assisted your career?
As mentioned previously ACN offered me a position a marketing intern in their marketing department. ACN offers internships every year to all students who are in their second year. The marketing internship has assisted my career by providing me with the stepping stones to become a successful marketing director in the future.
ACN’s friendly staff and administration also assisted my career by providing me with advice and their experience in the business industry.
Any advice to a prospective student?
University is not only about achieving a degree and studying, it’s also about commitment and enjoyment. I know studying is boring but if you challenge yourself for what you want to achieve, your career path will unravel itself.
